At MWM Landscaping & Grading, many of our projects begin with one service and grow as clients learn the full range of capabilities our team offers. That was exactly the case with this project in the Olde Creedmoor area. Our relationship with the property owner, Jordan Law, started when we were brought out to perform forestry mulching on the property. After seeing the quality and efficiency of our work, Jordan quickly realized how many additional services our team could provide to help move the project forward.
Phase 1: Clearing and Rough Grading
After completing the forestry mulching, the next step was large-scale land clearing. Our crew cleared and burned approximately 3 acres on site, removing trees, brush, and debris to prepare the property for future development. Once the clearing was complete, we followed up with rough grading across the cleared area, creating a solid foundation for the next phase of work and improving the overall layout of the property.
Phase 2: Additional Clearing, Berm Construction & New Driveway
As the project progressed, we were invited back to begin Phase 2. During this phase, our team cleared an additional 1.25 acres and removed approximately four feet of fill from the area. Using our D3 dozer, we carefully pushed and shaped the excavated soil to build a 12–14 foot berm along Olde Creedmoor Road. This berm will provide privacy for the property and will eventually be enhanced with landscaping.
We also closed off the existing driveway with the new berm and constructed a new winding rock driveway using ABC stone and #57 stone, creating a durable and attractive new access point for the property.
